WOODFEST COUNTRY SHOW
The culmination of 4/5 days work by our chainsaw carvers
Taking place on Sunday 14th July 2019 at 3 pm in the main carving arena. At 2.30 pm after having a clear up, we will be opening the arena to the public for you to view the sculptures closer, talk to the carvers and hopefully decide which pieces take your fancy.
You will be in awe of these finished works of chainsaw Art.
Although we pay attention to making the arena safe for the public, please take care whilst walking around this arena, as it is a working area, with a grass surface that can be uneven in places.
The Auctioneer accompanied by Woodfest staff will move from one sculpture to another systematically, the auctioneer will describe the piece and introduce the carver, then the bidding will start.
Most of our chainsaw artists will have placed a reserve price on their work, in the event that the reserve price is not reached, it will be the decision of the carver how he wishes to proceed, whether to withdraw it from the sale or accept a lower offer.
Please make sure if you are bidding, that you make your presence known and help the auctioneer to see you clearly. Once the sale has been made, the financial transaction is strictly between the carver and the customer. The preferred method of payment for the carver is cash or a direct online bank payment, please discuss these options with them at point-of-sale. A member of the Woodfest team will take your details immediately and we will move on to the next carving.
Sculptures purchased can be collected from the Woodfest site anytime from Sunday after 6.30pm up until 2nd August. If delivery is required - occasionally the carver can deliver, otherwise, Woodfest can deliver (a haulage cost is applied depending on distance). Deliveries will not be until after Wednesday 2nd August.
